The Playstation 2 is the console that just will not die! Never before has a console been so popular this long after a successor has been released. Because of how long it has been about PS2 has the biggest catalogue of games of all the consoles.
While the PS2 is most definitely a last generation console it still plays a fantastic game and if you are still putting off that High Definition TV purchase then a PS2 may be all you need.
New games are still being produced for the PS2, but they do show are marked difference graphically from the Xbox360 and the PS3. Now marketed by Sony as a console for kids, but this is not the full story. Some of the best games ever produced are available at bargain prices for the PS2 and for this reason alone it still has a place in the home of many a gamer.
